James M. Miskell

estate planning attorney james m miskell
Jim Miskell began his law career more than 22 years ago as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting complex criminal cases.  He worked hard to get justice for victims, send criminals to prison and help make our community a safer place to live.

For the past decade, Jim has been in private practice and now specializes in wills, trusts, estate planning, and elder law, ensuring that the wishes of his clients are meticulously carried out.

He has developed a passion for these areas and no one is more knowledgeable or well-versed in the nuances, technicalities and pitfalls that are involved in estate planning.

He has litigated in nearly all courts in Georgia, including municipal, state & recorder’s court, probate court, superior court, the Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and federal courts.

His specialization in this complicated and often overlooked area of the law allows him to make sure clients receive individual advice and guidance they need for their own estate planning needs, as opposed to the one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach used by other law firms.  There is no scenario in this field that Jim has not encountered.  He feels called to use his unique knowledge and experience to help his clients rest easy, knowing their assets are protected, loved ones provided for, and affairs handled – correctly.
